A long time ago at the Sweetheart Ranch there was faithful ole Shortie. She was ugly as sin, but wonderful with children. Shortie loved babies of all kinds. All of the new baby kitties would learn to sun bathe on Shorties soft pony back. All of the little human kids would learn to ride by hanging onto Shorties fuzzy pony mane.

One day Shortie had a sweet little baby. Just a little while later Shorties friend Bjorn had a baby too. Shortie kidnapped her friends baby and took care of both babies. Bjorns baby, Meggie grew up loving Shortie the best. When Meggie had babies Shortie helped her take care of them. They were best friends.

One day Shortie finally went to the Great Pasture in the sky. Meggie misses her still.
